Mithra Mandali (2025) Review – Priyadarshi Shines in a Fun Friendship Comedy
Hi friends, today let’s talk about the new Telugu movie “Mithra Mandali (2025)”. It released on October 16th 2025 and stars our Priyadarshi in the lead role. The movie is directed by Vijayender S, and it tells the story of friendship, fun, and how a simple group of friends gets into crazy trouble. I just watched it recently, so let me tell you what it’s really like – the good, the bad, and the funny!
Summary
This is a fun buddy comedy that shows how a group of friends get into all sorts of funny messes after one of them falls in love with a politician’s daughter. The film has a lot of light-hearted moments and a few emotional scenes too. Some of the jokes are really good, but some feel stretched or repetitive.
Story
So the story is about Priyadarshi and his three best friends – Rag Mayur, Vishnu Oi and Prasad Behera. They call their gang “Mitra Mandali”, which means circle of friends. Their life goes smoothly until one of them falls in love with the strong-minded politician’s daughter played by Niharika NM.
From then on, everything turns upside down. Their small lies turn into big problems and the entire group ends up in funny and embarrassing situations. The first half of the film is full of energy and laughs, but the second half becomes a bit slow and predictable. However, it keeps the audience laughing most of the time.

Technical aspects
Direction & Screenplay:
Director Vijayender S has done a good job. He keeps the film entertaining for the most part, but some scenes feel like they’re going in circles. Some jokes are too stretched and need more tight editing in the second half. Still, it’s a good attempt at a light comedy film.
Cinematography:
Siddharth S.J’s camera work is good. The visuals are bright and colorful, fitting the mood of the film. It’s simple, not fancy — but perfect for a story like this.
Editing:
Editor PK’s cuts are good in the first half, but feel a bit late later on. Some scenes could have been cut to keep the energy up.
Production Design:
The locations and costumes look real and relatable, just like we see in small-town stories. It gives a grounded vibe that suits the theme of friendship.
Performances
Priyadarshi:
He totally owns the movie! His comic timing and expressions are gold. Even if a scene is dull, he makes it work with his natural acting. Honestly, without him the movie would lose half its charm.
Niharika NM:
She is refreshing and confident in her role. Her dialogues and attitude are perfect for the role, but perhaps the writing could have given her a little more emotional space.
Rag Mayur, Vishnu Oy, Prasad Behera:
They all share good chemistry with Priyadarshi. Their humour feels natural, like real friends.
Vennela Kishore:
He enters a scene and booms, the laughs are guaranteed. Even though the screen time is short, he leaves his mark.
Music and Background Score
RR Dhruv’s songs are okay and fit seamlessly into the story. None of them are big chartbusters, but they don’t disrupt the flow of the story. The background score adds a nice punch to the comedy scenes and emotional elements.
Box Office – Day 1 Collection
The film had a slow start on the first day. Reports say that it collected ₹1 crore worldwide on the first day. The trailer created some buzz online, but the audience reception is still not that strong. Perhaps the weekend collections will tell a good story based on word of mouth.
What Works
- Priyadarshi’s perfect comedy timing
- Friendship chemistry between main gang
- Simple story that connects with youth
What Doesn’t
- Second half slows down too much
- Repeated jokes in few scenes
- Some emotional scenes don’t hit as expected
Rating
2.5 out of 5 stars
A fun one-time watch that works mainly because of Priyadarshi and few good laughs.
Final
This Movie is not a perfect comedy, but it’s enjoyable if you watch it with friends and keep your expectations light. It gives you good laughs, a few silly moments, and that “friends forever” feeling. If you are fan of Priyadarshi, you’ll surely like his performance here. The story could’ve been sharper, but overall, it’s a chill weekend movie.
